Cellular Internet

I researched CDMA 2000 1xRTT on Verizon Wireless and GPRS from AT&T Wireless. There were some responses that 1x was slower than QNC, a circuit switched cellular internet connection. GPRS gives consistent ~30kbps. The 1x experience ranged 20kbps to 80kbps. But given the cost, sticking with QNC is more effective unless you do a lot of international travelling when GSM/GPRS begins to make more sense. I would look at the Sony Ericsson T306, Motorola T721, and Sierra Wireless Aircard 750 as GSM/GPRS tri-band solutions. The 1x phones would be the Motorola T730, LG VX2000, and AirPrime PC 3220.
