Checking Account

After looking at checking accounts from Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Bank of the West, Bank of America MyAccess Checking wins. I was looking for low minimum deposits and no fees. I wanted ATM and online access. I can use direct deposit.

In terms of easy access for me, Bank of America's large number of ATMs makes it the first choice. Bank of the West is relatively easy to get to as well. Wells Fargo is pretty horrible.

Wells Fargo charges for online bill payments unlike the other two banks. Bank of the West charges for online check images.

Credit unions are alright but I have a problem accessing them. I tend to have the occassional deposits particularly as I move money from brokerage accounts to my checking account which is nice to have a easy to find ATMs that can take deposits.
