Downloading packages can be slow. The only four mirrors in the US that seem to work are ntebsd.stevens-tech.edu, ftp.lug.udel.edu, ftp.cs.umn.edu, and ftp.netbsd.org. Of those, ftp.cs.umn.edu and ftp.netbsd.org are capable of up to 200KB/s.
