TD Waterhouse Fees

After balking at the $25 per quarter inactivity fee at TD Waterhouse, it isn't so bad. Compared to what you would pay for traditional brokers, it's quite low. It puts even more pressure on my investments to do well. Perhaps I'm making money off of it since I'll perform some no-transaction-fee mutual fund trades in the interim. Then I'll be wondering if the mutual fund fees are high because I'm doing no-transaction-fee trades.

For my retirement accounts, I'll consider moving them from TD Waterhouse and folding them in with my employer's plans to avoid fees. It's just the stickiness of the Roth IRA. Contributions phase out but TD Waterhouse still will present its $25 per year fee for retirement accounts.
